DID YOU HEAR THAT THEY DISCONTINUED THE PENNY?

I made this zine to honor the discontinuation of the one cent coin. I scanned each of my lucky pennies to create the penny font that makes up the zine. My oldest penny is from 1959. I printed 40 quarter sized copies in color and mailed them to friends of the penny. I was going to take them to banks in Los Feliz in celebration of National Lucky Penny Day on May 23rd, 2026, but was told that the banks would probably throw them in the trash because they are enemies of the penny.
